I am debugging a client function (on same host) which fires off a xml-rpc call to a xml-rpc server function (on same host). Is there a way to continue debugging into the xml-rpc server code/function?

don't start the caller with debuger and provide the callee with a way to know that it has to start debugging (see FAQ on how to start debug session).
