i have set the > (Shift+.) to autocomplete tags.
it works well in the absence of previously unclosed tags. otherwise it does not close properly at all.

an intended <h1><a></a></h1> first turns into <h1></h1> after typing the second > (which is correct)
then after typing in <a> turns into <h1><a</h1></a</h1>. (ummm...wtf?)

also it would be useful to have it autoclose the last unclosed tag after typing a </ (i think dreamweaver does this) - very intuitive and effective.
