Auto-convert special characters

I work with international clients all the time and it would be great to be able to just copy/paste German/French/Swedish/etc.. text into PhpEd without having to do character conversions first (I open TopStyle at the moment to do this)

I'm not sure what character conversions you mean.
PhpED supports unicode and if the tool you are copying from supports unicode too, there would be no problems at all.
For example try to copy from WordPad Smile
