I think it depends on them. We're open for such things, always.

Why would PHPED work on supporting Jira when it's mainly all written in Java?

I think that Nusphere's focus with phpEd is pretty clear -> PHP. Smile

And PhpED is written in C++.. why would it support the PHP language?

It doesn't matter what language JIRA is written in, it's a simple fact it's a generic and largely used issue tracker that exposes a public API.

I could write PHP code to interact with JIRA via its API.. would that be "weird" too?

I'm also in the middle of writing PHP code to interact with Micro$oft WCF services.. should I have written a few of the pages in ASP instead?

I'd personally very much welcome the integration with JIRA Smile

Cheers..
