Any way to get a color wheel for CSS?

Hello,

In Dreamweaver, you're given a color when when editing your CSS code. In PhpEd, it looks like you just get a drop-down menu of colors. Is there any plugin or something to get a color wheel-type feature here?

Thanks!
Chris

Hi,
I would like to ask for this feature to be added too please. phpEd is a wicked IDE an imho that would be the icing on the top of a very big cake.

The colorpicker that popped up as soon as the : was entered is the only thing I miss about Dreamweaver since I changed from that to phpEd.

I just checked and I've been using phpEd for 9 months. I will definately be renewing my maintenance contract. Very Happy

Graham,
Thanks for using our product.
I'm sorry, I have no DW to get an idea on how it works. Would you please post screenshots and guide me through the feature you're talking about?

Hi Dmitri,
with Dreamweaver after typing color the the colon ':' the color picker would pop up. Then you select your chosen color and its hex value is entered.

I hope that clarifies it for you and hope you can implement such a feature.

You have my vote for a small color preview when cursor is over the value /like in Firebug/ but not for the whole popup which would be kinda annoying /unless of course it could be disabled in preferences/.

There are two ways I input colors in CSS files:

1. I've already copied it using screen color picker or other program - don't need the popup here because all is left is to paste it.
2. I know what color I want and I just type the hex - I usually do this for different shades of gray or other colors I just remember so no popup needed here too.

Bartheq. I understand what you mean perfectly. Definately have it set in the preferences.

One thing I've just thought of that would beat the pants off DW would be to add a favourite colors list for commonly used colors. I'm forever having to go back to color picker (nice little firefox addon) to remind myself. Just 6-10 slots would be great then when the popup appeared i could select the correct one.

...or you could just use TopStyle Lite as it is small, fast and can get you more features than PHPEd.
If PHPEd team should work on CSS, than it would be great to implement code competition for CSS.

If I could get a list of IDs/classes, and get style completition inside HTML tag, now that would be a speed up.
