This is not an issue with PhpED. If you get an "access denied" error when you're uploading a file to the remote server, you have to adjust file permissions/ownership according to the rules that are mostly the same for all Linux/Unix platforms. Alternatively you may want to ask your server administrator to provide you with an appropriate account that is already granted with necessary permissions. Everything depends on the directory Owner/Group, file Owner/Group and your account name relationships. For example, if your account is in the directory's Group, you need to have group-write permission or you won't be able to create/delete files in that directory. If your account is neither Owner nor listed in the Group, you need world-write permission on the directory. Same goes for the file read/write operations.

Hey Dmitri,
Changing the permissions worked like a charm. Thanks so much--is there anything you don't know. Do you give relationship advice? My girlfriend says I spend too much time on the computer? What should I tell her? |
