I want to exclude a folder forum my project but don't want to delete it. The folder is in the root of my main site, is happens to be the forums folder and i have vbulletin as the forums. I want to include the forums as a different project in my workspace so when i goto the code explorer for my site, the functions are easier to find. how can i delete a folder from the project but not from my system?

You can hide directories by listing their names in the "hide directories" list. (see project properties)

Right click on the folder in the Workspace window, select Properties and check "Do not publish" checkbox.
