IMO I think there needs to be a Close Project feature that will close the project and all it's opened files. When I reopen the project it should reopen the files that where opened before it was close. It's kinda like putting the project in stand by mode.

This becomes very useful when working with more than one project inside a workspace

I have just bought PHPEd, so I do not know all the features yet.

Is it possible to close a project within a workspace, as xwisdom describes below?

you can open/close workspaces and IDE will remember files opened in them all.
Regarding projects, you can't "close" projects, only delete them from the workspace or add back to it.
