This config doesn't seem to work properly - notably dialogs are returning odd errors. Reproduce: right click > search in files > search; can type term into the box (sometimes won't allow though, breaks at 2 chars); but search result always fails and returns dialog along the lines of 'search term %%??'

If you mean that only 1-2 characters appear in the combos (including find dialog), it's a known bug in the Crossover (Wine) itself and has already been fixed in 0.9.48 which is the recommended version.

One more question if I may - can I start up without dbg listener - I don't use it and on my setup it's not playing nice with wine? Thanks again

try to start it up before launching phped.
and yes, you can live without dbglistener but phped will try to run it everytime you update settings.
