OK, I am getting very anoy about this two small bugs that is stopping me from getting anywhere. When i load the PhpED and start working on my project, everything is fine, but it seems that when time pasts (like 5 minutes), then I no longer can copy and paste or save anything. I am then force to quit the program and start over. However, the save button is still enabled, but when you click on the button to save, it don't do nothing and the * next to your file name stays there and the file is never saved. Ok i just loaded the editor and didn't do anything for 5 minutes and type a letter to make the * to popup and tryed saving and it failed. OK, i try everything in the menus and nothing is working, like it just quit it's job. So this is a major bug!

Probably you are working with cracked version.
Official evaluation version available from NuSphere site does not lock save/copy/paste, at least during all the evaluation period.
