1) I'd like to see the number of the elements into the array (to show in the value field, it's not used for array elements)
2) I'd like to sort the name of the variables clicking on the field "Name"
3) could you highlight in bold the last variable whose value has changed during debug (like eclipse does)

To see number of elements you can put count($arrname) into the watches.
I know it's not that convenient but is possible.

about the count yes it's not convenient; may be you could add the count of the elements and put this value in the field value (not it's empty for array)

about the last changed value in red for me it seems not working very well. First it's hard to see it (to notice the change of color), may be a red+bold is better. second: you should highlight the new assigned variables too.
If during the debug the variable $test has never been used and at some point you find a $test=1 you should (imo) highlight this change.

about the sorting you could add 2 types of sorting: alphabetical sort and last change sort.

not, acually, I'm cooking next free version of debugger and next commercial version of it too.
