So I'm trying to run a zip program from phped. Essentially what happens is that I can pass my project to a zip program and compress my project making a backup of the project in zip format. However I want multiple backups with each one having a timestamp which includes the date and time as part of the file name. Is there anything like this in phped? If not can you please implement it in the next release?

I think date() is not the only thing you may want to add.
Fortunately, using customization you may run php scripts where you may call date() for getting date and system() function to running your zip.
