I'm unsure how to answer your query, because I don't use PhpED to connect with MySQL, I use other tools such as NaviCat.

Bear in mind that if you don't plan on using the PhpED database tools, PhpED can work fine without connecting to MySQL. Only the PHP scripts need to connect.

Ensure you have MySQL installed (either from a WAMP or download from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/

In the External Tools settings, enter the path to the two mysql libraries that are requested. Click the Help button to see an example.

Then have a look at http://www.nusphere.com/products/php_mysql_conn.htm

Hi jerseyguy0,
it is pretty simple to connect it once you done it.

make sure:
1. Install mysql workbench
2. Place the file in NuSPhere edit ( which you should have warring it is not pointet )
3. Make sure connection to the mysql is allowed.
- are you running yoy mysql on the same machine ?
also allow the user you are trying to connect with to be acble to connect from your IP. Check phpmyadmin -> users

Hope that helps

jerseyguy0, your question is quite unclear.
What do you want to connect to your mysql? PhpED's built-in DB client or your php script that you run inside PhpED?
Where do you run your mysql? On the same machine or remotely?
