if you work with embedded mozilla and the IDE quits (crashes), you may want to check %APPDATA%\nusphere\config\phped.rip(.gz) file for the content like shown on screenshot below:

it is an indication that you encountered bug #776473 and you may want to help mozilla developers isolate and fix https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=776473 by reporting conditions under which it happens.

This bug started appearing in FF16.0 and I'm not sure what to do with it
Seems rolling back to v15.x is the only option.
For you -- it means that all recent features of firefox won't work.
Alternatively you can switch to external browser. It silently restarts upon such crashes...
