Hey all. This is my first post here and I hope I can get some help here. I've had a look around for a slution to this with no luck so far.

I have been having trouble setting up the remote debugging for a new project. I'm getting the following error in the wizard:

Error: (-120) debugger module is not installed
please follow the instructions below and install debugger module...etc

However, when looking at the phpinfo for the site I am working with, (http://www.instagiv.com/phpinfo.php) I can see that DBG v4.6.3 is indeed installed on the server.

What could be the problem here?

archive, check x86_64 subdirectory in it
extract the module and copy it to /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613 directory on your server
add the following lines to /usr/local/lib/php.ini

zend_extension="/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/dbg-php-5.2.so"
[debugger]
debugger.hosts_allow=86.148.147.21
debugger.hosts_deny=ALL
debugger.ports=7869

restart web server
launch phpinfo and check its output;make sure that one of the topmost
headers contains:
Zend Engine vX.X.0, Copyright (c) 1998-20xx Zend Technologies
with DBG v 4.6.X, (C) 2000, 20xx by Dmitri Dmitrienko

fix the problem(s), then click [<< Back] button and repeat the tests

Hi everyone. This problem has now been fixed.

The extension was installed fine on the server. The problem was the php.ini file. It was pointing to the wrong zend extension.

Had to login to server with root user and edit the ini. Then it worked.

Also had to add a firewall rule to the client-end firewall to get past a later setup stage.


All done now. Great piece of kit
