It would be nice if there is an option to sort projects by creation date, alphabetically, etc. Other than that, for me this IDE is the best!

The perplexed built-in algorithm of sorting new projects inside Workspaces has always been an annoyance for me, but it wasn't something that I had dared to complain about.

Common, there no 100s projects in your workspaces to introduce sorting scheme!
just use Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down to re-order

THanks. I may have overlooked that option. At least it is something.
Other than that, you may not know how many projects customers may have to deal with in their life in their workspaces.
When adding a new project it would make more sense to add it in some more maningful order. As it is now I cannot say what order the ide is using. Adding projects as of now, it orders them exactly the opposite from what I'd expect.

By default it adds to the end of the list and preserves the positions until you change them by moving the projects up or down.
