It seems that recently the performance of the browse when ran under the IDE is very slow in comparison with the normal web server. It is better if I use an external browser but still slow. Perhaps it is just my perception. Using version 6.2 - Build 6236.

I would appreciate any advice.

The browser in the IDE is a normal browser.
Perhaps, the IDE itself takes too much memory because your project is getting bigger and bigger and it slows down a bit your machine?
Try a new workspace with almost an empty project and check browser.
