Hi- Computer died (overheating after 20mins use) so had to buy a new one. My old PC was windows XP, my hew PC is windows 7.

I have now installed all of my programs from my old machine, including PHPed.

How do i export my settings so i can import them back into PHPed ?

It took me about 2 weeks to configure the IDE when i first installed on XP due to the millions of options, editor colors etc, and i simply dont have that time again, im already now 3 weeks behind thanks to my old PC crapping out.

Please please help ! It's driving me crazy i cant find the wizard !

PHPed 5.9.5

Unfortunately, there's no automatic way to do this.. but it's a relatively simple, 2-step process:

Export the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NuSphere\PhpED5.9.5

Copy the directory from your AppData location: C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\NuSphere

I can't remember the AppData location on an XP box anymore, but if you simply type %APPDATA% (with % % chars) into the explorer address bar, it should parse itself and equate to the XP equivilent of 'C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming'.

The same can be done for Win7 to copy the directory into.

HTH.

Cheers..

The registry contains any syntax highlighting colour changes you've made, and the likes of window positions, recent files, search / replace history, file associations etc.

You'll want this definitely if you've modified any of the syntax highlighting colours.
