How can I setup another editor pane in PhpED?

That is, for example, have two files side by side in separate panes? I see there is a floating option, but if I want to switch the file that is floated, I have to float the new one and reposition the floating window again.

Is there a way to get another editor pane that docks in PhpED? Or is this functionality I'm describing not supported?

It's not supported to have windows side-by-side. Floating editor windows can sort of do it, but you will find that if you have a floating window and click into the Code Navigator, that panel will switch to view the current non-floating editor window.

If you double-click quickly on a name in the Code Navigator it will work, but if you pause to scroll the list then it's useless.
