How to insert new line in the replace text field |

Turn on multi-line search then you can just enter your new lines. You can still use regular expressions, but might not need to anymore.

I guess there is one small problem with this, now I have to use my mouse to move from the find field to the replace field and then to select 'OK'. Even when I tab with focus in the field it puts in a tab character. I understand why it behaves this way, just seems like using a regular expression syntax for special characters would allow the user to not have to move from keyboard to mouse to move between fields and to select the action button.

Both in singleline and multiline mode you may switch to "Text to find" and "Replace with" fields by pressing Alt-T and Alt-R respectively.
FYI: You can switch between singleline and multiline modes by pressing Alt-L shortcut. |
