Hello i have strange characters for Cyrillic $variables while debugging, in editing window all seems to be OK:

Default character set is UTF-8

How to force PHPED show variables correctly?

I have the same problem with Hebrew (variables are coming from the database)

1) why don't you try Project settings wizard and have CORRECT code page selected for your project?
2) why don't you set debugger code page in the debugger settings if you don't want to run Project wizard for any reasons?

Somehow I missed this part of the configuration, with the wizard and directly in the project setting as well.
It works now!

To whom ever missed this setting as I had:
1) Go to Project > Project Properties, select the Debugger tab
2) Mark the Use Project-specific Debugger setting
3) Click the Debugger Code Page line, on the right side. It will turn into a drop-down menu, where you can select UTF8 or what ever encoding you need.
