Hi -
I have TP 3.2 installed with PHP 4.3.4, however an application I'm trying to get running here was coded for PHP 4.2.2.

How can I install PHP 4.2.2 on my Win XP Pro machine that is running TP 3.2?

Be kind, I have about 10 hours of experience with this platform, apache, and PHP. Smile

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

it's hardly possible. TP comes with ssl-enabled Apache and it means that you have to re-compile php4apache module if you need any other php version. As a possible workaround you can install php4.2.2 as CGI module. In this case you have to comment out php-related things in httpd.conf (see LoadModule php4_module, AddModule mod_php4, AddType application/x-httpd-php) then install php as CGI according to instructions listed on the page http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.apache.php (see Installing PHP on Windows with Apache 1.3.x)

On the other hand, why don't you upgrade your scripts and fix all the deprecated stuff ?

Thanks for your response dmitri. I was looking for an easy way to work with the existing codebase.

Updating of the scripts may be the easiest option for me given your feedback.
