Is it possible to specify specific tabs that will open when a project is opened/selected?

The scenario is as follows. You are working on one project and have to switch to another project. You close the windows for the project that you are working on, and open some files in the other project. When complete you want to resume where you had left off in first project, with the same files/tabs open. I know that you can open files from both projects at the same time, but they become mixed up, especially if the filenames are the same.

Or is there a different way to separate the open tabs so that they are grouped on project?
