Techplatform and mySQL

I do have a new question then. How do I get phpMyAdmin to run without mySQL? Am I supposed to just comment out those lines?

All of our applications and customers use mySQL. No way out of that.

What I installed is version 3.1, which I still had laying around, and in the Apache folder, it does create a mySQL folder, so I was expecting to find a mySQL server. It also installed the mySQL MANUAL. What is the sense of this then?

So if I have to install the mySQL separately, how do I tie it in with the TechPlatform?

even though TechPlatform just like phpMyAdmin comes without mySQL, it does not mean that you can't download mySQL from the vendor site and install it.
