Is there any plan on haveing the DB client developed to a state we don't need another database manager?
To replay phpMyAdmin and such?

Perhaps it would be a good idea to integrate phpMyAdmin into phpEd. There is an integrated browser anyway, so why not put there a phpMyAdmin installation together with a button to invoke it on demand? I would be satisfied with this solution, since developing own DB client would be a long run.
