This is strange. I had all this working a few days ago, but I can't for the life of me see what's changed.

I have a SuSE 8.1 Linux running Apache 1.3 I have the DB v2.14.9 loaded on PHP 4.2.2 The phpinfo() page confirms this.

I have been quite happily launching HTML forms with action like

action="invokealert.php?DBGSESSID=0@10.0.0.161:7869"

attributes (where 10.0.0.161 is my PHPEd workstation) and then single stepping my script.

Now it doesn't work if I launch use the html form from a browser on my machine( 10.0.0.161) but it works fine if my colleague launches it (10.0.0.185) . The DBG client doesn't show any connections at all in the log - so I guess it's a server issue - but that hasn't changed for ages (at least not that I know of and I'm the only person who administers it).

Any help would be cheerfully appreciated ...!

Well, I resolved my own problem - I don't know how/why but I manually entered form action URL into IE address bar and DBG picked it up. Henceforth it works fine.

To check if TCP/IP connection is possible from the server part you could launch
telnet youriporhostname 7869
In this case DbgListener would show a black dot in its white circle and appropriate message in the its log window.

cache is not used.
Check apache logs to see if any trouble is logged.
Also make sure that corresponding GET request is logged in access_log
