Automatically Reload Networked Files

Hey,
For local files, when you close the editor and open it again, they open back up for you when you. However, for SFTP files, these do not open for you again when you open the editor back up. Is there a way to enable this? I'm currently on version 5.8.

Also, is there a way to automatically reload (and maybe even merge) these files without closing them and reopening them?
