I have a project that is laid out like this:

[proj root]
[proj root]/some dirs i need to b able to debug/
[proj root]/website/
[proj root]/website/website accessible folders/

and on the internet side...

[domain name]/~username/projectname/

corresponds to [proj root]/website

I'm getting pretty desperate here... how do I set this up?

According to the wizard, I need to know:
"document root"
"URL"
... and then the 3 options for describing the project relationship, I'm unsure of which applies.

please, help. Sad I'm so confused by this. Exclamation

thanks!
Will

Hey

Ive got exactly the same project structure. Took me DAYS of faffing here and there trying to get it to work. Unfortunately the wizard doesn't quite get the settings right, at least in my case. My project is not local - but I'm using sftp drive to map the web server file system as z:\ . Eitherway, hopefully you can work out what to change from these settings in order to match your set up.

Properties Tab

---Project----

>> project:
c:\my\project\file.ppj

>> Root directory
z:\home\myuser\project-root-directory

---Publishing----
I've not got any entries for this section

---Mapping----

>> Run mode
3rd party web server

>> Root URL
NOT SET! If I set this it doesnt work. A root URL is set using an entry in the mapping tab later instead.

>> Remote root directory
/home/myuser/myprojects/project-root-directory

---Files----
>> Default file to run
z:\home\myuser\myprojects\project-root-directory\web\index.php

Mapping Tab

Ive got two lines in the mapping tab, one representing the project root, and one representing the web root

line 1:

remote directory: /home/myuser/myprojects/project-root-directory
local directory: z:\home\myuser\myprojects\project-root-directory
URL: not set
publishing dir: not set

line 2:

remote directory: /home/myuser/myprojects/project-root-directory/web-root
local directory: z:\home\myuser\myprojects\project-root-directory/web-root
URL: http://my-project-website
publishing dir: not set

Good luck... Smile
