How do I save with LF endings in Windows PhpEd? |
|
I'm saving files from Windows PhpEd directly into a Linux share. How do I force all saves to use LF instead of CRLF?

Ok, I see it now. Not an intuitive label, but makes sense. |

The newline for a mac is CR only
I think the label is fine... The file format indicates the OS which dictates the newline so it was pretty clear from the start for me |

Maybe it could be for the best of both worlds.
The label could read "Default file format/Line ending" and the options could be: Autodetect Windows / CRLF Unix / LF Mac / CR |

As long as we're quibbling semantics, Autodetect is a little vague. For example, emacs makes LF or CRLF decisions on a file by file basis, it's really a viewing mode in that editor: if you want to change line endings you do it explicitly for each file. All that said, now that I found the setting, the feature is "good enough". |
