If I want to start the DBG session I get this error:

DBG 3.8.10

Failed to start DBG session

Reason: client ip address [(null)] lookup failed
Not sure what it means? Visit http://www.nusphere.com/dbg/ for troubleshooting.

Debugger request: "401989791044600032@myserver:2222;d=1,p=0,c=1"
Request found in: "query_string"
Target PHP version: "5.2.x"
Server API: "CGI"
Extensions API: "220060519"
Modules API: "20060613"
PHP API: "20041225"

I've configured the right server as "myserver".
I could upload files but not start the DBG.

I don't know what this error is about.

Please help me.
Thanks
Anna

The debug session tries to connect to your machine and the debugger simply tells you that it has no IP adres for your machine. Given the request, is "myserver" the name of your machine, and if so, can this hostname be pinged from the server hosting the PHP code?

I'd cunfigured the debug host to localhost. I think that's the reason for this error.
Now I've configured it to my ip adress like 93.210.236.57.
But now, I get another error.
If I use the wizard I could create the dbg-wizard.php and this first test "checking the php installation" works correctly.
Than i configure the next steps and the debug session check doesn't work.
I get the following output:
uplaoded dbg-sample php to [FTP:Fairy Moda] fairy-moda.de/include/Shop
Error: (-139) debugger connection at 93.210.236.57 address is prohibited
please set debugger.hosts_allow=93.210.236.57 in /home/sys/php.ini

I've setted this correctly but it didn't work.

Please help me!!!

Thanks

Did you restart the web-server? Most of the times you need to restart it for changes in the PHP configuration to be picked up

That's it?
The server couldn't be restarted, because there are other users at this server. I've asked the support but it's not possible...

If you make a file with phpinfo() in and visit it, it will output all php settings. Look up the DBG settings. If the allow = 93... is not in there, then yes that is the problem.

Thanks very much!!!!

debugger.hosts_allow protected value protected value
debugger.hosts_deny protected value protected value

debugger.ports protected value protected value

This is the output of the phpinfo
All the other values are configured correctly. I think this is a problem by the server. Not by the restart!? Isn't it?

No it says "protected value" to prevent abuse, i forgot about that. The idea is that other people aren't supposed to find out which IPs are allowed to debug.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure the problem is due to the fact that the changes you made haven't been picked up by the webserver. An apache restart is needed almost always.
Btw: If they are actually running apache, you might ask them to do a "graceful restart", that way nobody is hindered.

Thanks very much again!
I ask them. We'll see, if it's an apache and if they can do so.
I'll hope it. I NEED this debugger!!!
