Multiple Concurrent FTP Connections

I'm sure its been asked already, but...

It would be awesome if PHPEd could open multiple concurrent FTP connections if available.

Currently it opens only one and is slow to download/upload many of my projects.

I have many thousand files in some of my projects; It would be great if I could tell PHPEd to open 10 FTP connections (making it smart download/upload substantially faster.)

I second this idea, filezilla does a great job of this. Also would be good if you could set file permissions recursively

yes i think that is a very good idea... also it would be good if when you cancel a download or upload it would actually cancel rather than continuing to download/upload the current file. Usually when i cancel it's because it's downloading/uploading some giant file that i don't need, but it still does it anyway
