What they should change is the order of the determination of colors, so that the reserved words are given priority, that would solve the problem

It works pretty fine in PhpED 5.6 too:
![]() As you can see $_SESSION is colored differently than $another_variable. To achieve the effect you have to add such variables into a group of reseved words and assign this group with desired colors |
