Just looking through the new 3.3 version. Still missing imho is the smart-sync or download option in the Workspace/Project explorer when right-clicking on individual files. This works for folders, but if you only want to download the latest version of a single file from a remote server - you're stuck changing views to the File Explorer, downloading the file and specifying the local path. A 1 second task, now taking 30 seconds or more.

This is implemented well in Dreamweaver. Is there are reason for this?

Normally, in phped you'd only upload files you have changed using smart upload.
On the other hand, if you know that some files are modified by somebody else smart download for the directory or entire the project should be run. Smart download won't overwrite any newer local files and won't transfer files that are of the same size and date/time stamp.

Thanks for you reply - I understand, but in many cases a folder may contain hundreds of files and smart sync may take > 5min to synchronize (and can hang). If you only only wanted to make sure you have the latest version of a single file at the top level of your directory tree smart-sync lets you down as it descends into sub-directories before sync'ing individual files in the folder you've selected. In a multi-developer environment which isn't relying on CVS, a synchronize from server tool is important. Just seems like an feature only partially implemented, which is a source of frustration.
