My web server is configured to parse .html files as php files.

Therefore, all my files in phpED project are in html format and I realized that phpEd can't highlight php code or allow auto complete if the file extension is .html

what can I do to fix this??

Go to Tools > Settings and in the IDE > Associations dialog, remove the *.html from "HTML" and add it to PHP4 or PHP5
