I have just installed PhpED into WinXP Pro. I am working with a "3rd Party Server" on another machine.

I have finally set things up so that I can publish from PhpEd to my document root folder on my web server, and even to sibling directories of the doc root folder.

Let's say there are times where I had to change a file directly on the web server, or even create a new file while logged into the web server. Afterwards, is there a way within PhpED to update my local file on my WinXP computer or download a new file? Or do I need to get the web server files via FTP, the way I already do?

Right click on the file from the Explorer, and click "Smart Download" or simply "Download file".

I believe that's what you are looking for.
