Hi,

I've reinstalled Windows and then phpEd, then I tried to restore my previous config settings that I backed up (the files ending in .cfg), but they don't seem to register and I am shown all the default settings instead.

Can anyone tell me how I can restore my previous settings without having to re-enter them all over again?

It looks like you backed something other than actual config settings.
Indeed, phped has TWO copies: one with all the defaults is in phped's subdirectory and actual settings in %USERPROFILE%\application data\nusphere\phped\config (or %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\NuSphere\config under Vista)
please make sure you have restored latter one.
Also, don't forget about registry HKCU\software\nusphere\phpedXX (where XX is concatenated major and minor versions, for example phped52 for version 5.2)

Hi dmitri,

Oh, I see, I didn't realise there were registry settings too. I'll try those then.

Thank you.

Hi dmitri,

Ooops, just realised I read the links wrongly and they are in the user folders, not the registry. I've just put the old config files in there and the settings were restored perfectly.

Thank you again.
