[resolved] Unable to SET breakpoints in all except index.php

Hi there,

I'm probably missing something obvious - but here's my problem:

In my index.php file I can set breakpoints just fine - I click in the sidebar next to a line of code, and a little red dot appears. We also stop at breakpoints when I'm running the debugger.

However, I can't even set a breakpoint in any other file! I click in the gutter, and nothing happens. I try right-click/toggle breakpoint, and nothing happens.

Help - how do I set breakpoints in my other files?!

And thanks.

please check that your other file is PHP.
Under php we understand whatever file with extension listed in either php4 or php5 lists (see tools->settings->associations).
Make sure that the extension appears once and only in one list.
Also make sure that when you set breakpoint, cursor is actually in PHP, not in html.

It turns out that you're right - I wasn't setting breakpoints in the php code. Yikes!

It's also worth mentioning that the dbg debugger needs to be updated when you install the commercial version of phpED.

I have to say that overall I'm REALLY liking this IDE. I tried Zend, I tried an eclipse IDE, and nothing has come close to phpED for being able to hit the ground running. For the most part, very intuitive. My ramp-up time, aside from stupid mistakes like trying to debug html code, has been really quick.

Thanks for your help!
