I am currently trying PhpED and think it is a brilliant tool, but I do think it is missing a WYSIWYG editor for the HTML GUI.
In the past, I have used Visual Stuido for doing ASP pages and find it much easier when tweaking the GUI layouts.
For example, I have just created a page that has a table with 5 columns and about 20 rows and 5 buttons, but i've been asked if I could just move this column over a little bit, move that button from here to there, set the colour of that button to this etc.
In Visual Studio, this is easy and things can be tweaked with just a few mouse clicks, and the end user can say "can I just see what it would look like if you put that there and changed it's colour to match that"
With PhpED, i'm having to say "sure.... now where is that bit of code, and which colour do they want... lets try that... no, lets move it a little bit more... opps, too far..."
This is one feature that Zend does have that I do like and i'm tring to work out whether to buy Zend or PhpED - If PhpED have a WYSIWYG editor, I would have no issues which buying a copy today
