Hi,

I work with FTP. That is, I connect to the webserver and edit my files live there.

So when i'm browsing the file system, I can right click and choose "New Folder".

However I can see no option to create a new file in the same way.

In order to create a new file I have to open the new file dialog, select the file type, create the file, and then open the save dialog, select the FTP server, navigate back to the directory I was in, and save it. Seems like some kind of insane madness.

So rather than post a feature request, I am going to jump to the conclusion that the feature for quickly creating a new file via FTP must be there somewhere.

If anyone could tell where it is I would be really grateful.

Can't believe there are no other requests for this. How do you guys use PHPEd without this feature?

What do you if you have to work on live on a clients site without downloading the entire code and recreating the environment locally? I guess you don't use PHPed for that job?
