is the linux version of PhpED every going to be updated? I know about parallels VM but that is not very use for when i want to edit file on my linux OS(as far as i know the VM is on a virtual drive and i can only access data form that drive) so when editing i would have to load parallels VM, load PhpED, copy the file from my linux OS to the parallels VM drive, edit, copy the file back to the linux OS then test and do it all over again. This just seems like a huge hassle unless i am missing something about the parallels VM.

I retract this statement. I looked deeper into virtual box and it works fine with setting up a shared folder my the primary and guest OS. This is almost as good as the real thing so it will work for me.
