I have PhPED Pro and I wanted to try out the DB_Form wizard.

When I run it I get a message:'Could not connnect - you
need to upgarde libmysql.dll to version 4.1 or higher.

I have just downloaded the latest build of PhpED but I
where do I find a later version of libmysql.dll?

Thanks

Will

I am using the libmysql.dll that comes with MySQL. In my case I copied it from C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.0\bin. If you do not wish to install MySQL on your computer, then you can get this file from the ZIP package at http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.1.html#win32.

I suspect there are legal issues preventing Nusphere from distributing a version 5 libmysql.dll, else they would have included it with the PhpED installation Wink

Not only NuSphere but almost all people with commercial software.
Although they've made some exceptions in the rule, in particular for php distro. That's why it always comes with libmysql newer than allowed.

I am using MySQL 5.0 and I've now taken your suggestion and it works.

Many thanks
