It worth to give a try
you may want to check the following project settings: run mode -> http / 3rd party web server url -> http://localhost:8080/ remote root -> same as project root. (I assumed that you run SRV on port 8080 and installed joomla into a directory pointed by project root. If not, you need to correct the settings) |

hqr: thanks, but if I got it right, the question was whether SRV works or he needs to run apache or iis.

Hello,
I just wanted to post back how this went, since I just installed Joomla v1.0.x on the server for a site I'm starting up. I tried the 3rd party web server the way dmitri suggested, but I kept getting a run error that the mappings weren't correct. I then tried HTTP Mode (SRV local Web Server) and everything seems fine so far! I ran the web installer without any problems, and I've been navigating around the site for awhile. I'll post back if any issues arise! thanks, -Eric |
