I'm looking for an explanation of the settings from the settings dialog on the tools menu. In particular, I'd like to have the editor insert spaces when I hit the tab key (don't like tabs) and I'd also like to be able to highlight only half of a word (the default keeps selecting the whole word!)

Is there an explanation of these settings (what they do)?

Not to sound like a know-all, but have you tried pressing F1 in the dialog and scrolling down? Almost each option is fully explained...

I don't mind you acting like a know-it-all... that's what I came here for! I didn't see the Context-help icon, so it didn't dawn on me to try!!!! I will give it a try though, thanks!
