Well, I did so on "Tools -> Settings -> IDE Settings -> "Show Transliteration Errors"" but it had no effect. The window still showed up when opening a non-UTF-8 file from some SFTP-account.
Even after restarting phped it had no effect. And would it help to turn off the dialog if I had letters in a file which are not valid in the current codepage? Or would I simply have lots of "?"? TIA m* |

opening is not the same as finding...
with first one it's better to warn you anyway, or an editing may make things even worse. thanks for your suggestion/feat. request, indeed there is something to think about. |

+1 from me, I'm working on both UTF-8 and ISO-8859-2 projects and I have to switch the encoding all the time if I work on remote servers.
