I have V5.0.0 3025 installed on my PC. CAn I just "overwrite" the directory with the newest update V5.0.1 which I just downloaded? Or do I need to deinstall it before installing the newest version. I want to keep all configurations. That's the mostg important thing to save Time.

in particular:

in case of 5.0 -> 5.0.1, you may want to backup all cfg files and registry under HTCU\software\nusphere\phped5.0\, then uninstall, make sure no files remained and no registry values are left, then install new version, restore cfg files into config subdirectory (right, 5.0.1 holds them in different place than 5.0), and restore registry.

btw, 5.0.1 setup will do all these tasks for you anyway.
