I can't seem to find this feature in PhpED has it(and i would assume it does, pretty standard). I want to have a line dotted line at character 120 so i don't go over that when coding.

Tools > Settings > Editor: Appearance, bottom option is the right hand margin and is set to 80 by default. I'm familiar with this as I detest it, so turning it off is about the first thing I did.

Interesting. In my copy, that setting is disabled. Further, clicking the Help button in the window, the docs (and the screen shot contained therein) don't reference/include it.

Hmm, the plot thickens.

Okay, so it sounds like the feature was in there but removed from the UI to make a future appearance. Now, we're in the future (I'm using 5.x), so what's the status with this feature? I have the controls for it in the Settings window, but they're disabled. If the feature isn't controllable in the GUI, I recommend not having controls for it at all - just leave it to the register setting(s). A disabled setting control is confusing.

That feature has been there and been annoying me since I started using PhpED, which was something like version 3.5. I'm now running 5 b5028, it's the same as always.

Is it Right Margin you're talking about? If so, it's not disabled and can't be. At least in build 5028.

Actually, it can be disabled in 5028 - I just realized that it's tied to the monospaced fonts check box. Absent coverage in the docs, though, there was no way for me to know this Wink.
