Problem with web serv requiring a restart of PhpEd |

Is there any indication on what process dll or exe caused the crash? Does Windows offer to "send" any info to the Microsoft? If so, does coressponding dialog contain the info details that you could submit there?

PhpED just freezes, there is no debug information. Either FireFox or IE just sits there, forever, frozen. The only way to get out of it is to close down PhpED, kill the webserver programs, and restart. |

So there is no crashes at all.
Did you try with external browser or with embedded one? |

I always test with the external server, either IE or Firefox.

what server do you mean? is it apache or iis? what was the URL in the browser when it locked up? |

I've managed to narrow it down. It always happens with PHP v5, but never with PHP v4.
With PHP v5, it locks up randomly with any URL. The problem is independent of the URL. With PHP v5, we're using the internal PHP server supplied with NuSphere.

The I'd recommend you to try to comment out extensions one by one to see which one causes the lock up.
Alternatively, you may want to switch to Apache to see if PHP v5 module handles requests any better than its CGI version that SRV (the internal server) runs. |

How would I install Apache as a server?

There are many Apache distributions in the Net. Try out XAMPP or any other that come with php. You'll need to install php debugger module of course and adjust project properties accordingly.
