Could you add an input macro to the tools integration? I'm trying to integrate a commercial SCM, but it the command requires information such as a comment and version.

The idea being everytime the editor sees @input@ it pops up a modal dialog and takes input afterwards it replaces the macro tag with input

qvs ci @FName@ comment "@input comment@" version @input version@

This would popup 2 different dialogs, 1 asking for the comment follows by a 2nd asking asking for the version.
