Hi,
Just downloaded phped and had a go with the db wizard which produced a nice form for updating a table.

Question is can the update record form be invoked directly by passing a key field value or do you always have to go through the viewing form.

What I would like to do is update an individual record without having to pick it first from the full list of records.

Perhaps something like:

http://wwwmywebserver/updateform.php?record_key_id=5

Thanks
JP.

PS generated using the standard template.

Hi - actually everything is possible. Db-Form Wizard is written with full flexibility in mind, it is template based and macro substitution driven. You can take the supplied template and change it any way you like it and make a new one - here is more info about it (there is also chpater on it in the Help) http://www.nusphere.com/products/php_database.htm
hope it helps!

Hi,

Thanks for the reply vfactor. Had a quick look at the documentation but it looks like quite a time sink to get into. I just thought there maybe some way of loading just one record by passing the key field value - previous incarnations of the form generator did this which was useful.
Thanks,
JP.
