Mysql Missing

I removed the techplatform, and reloaded with the latest.
What happened to mySql?
It does not seem to be included in the latest platform

You are right, MySQL database server is removed from Tech Platform because of the license policy changings made by MySQL AB.
Also, you probably noticed that we're switching to our new flagship database UltraSQL. I think, it's needless to tell how much clearer UltraSQL supports SQL standards.

When are you going to switch to UltraSQL - does this suggest possible future comptability problems if we install mySQL independently? I guess many people will have to do that since their sites already run with mySQL.

Threre are no known compatibility problems. You may install mysql independently and no special actions are required to get it working with TechPlatform.
